The front desk role is the heart of our operation at Backyard Pet Spa and Boutique. It requires someone who is energetic, able to keep up with a fast paced environment, and harbors a love for dogs of course.
About the Role
Greet and welcome guests that enter the salon to browse the boutique.
Greet and welcome clients that enter the salon to drop off / pick up their pet.
Check clients into their appointments by asking questions about the pet and recommending packages based off their specific needs.
Confirm all services with client including contact information.
Verify medical documents and enter into client's account.
Obtain necessary signatures on all clientele forms.
Provide client with approximate quote for services being performed.
Answer the phone and provide customer service as needed, along with scheduling clients new and current.
Maintain a clean work environment by dusting and vacuuming the boutique / front area as needed.
Periodically monitor pets throughout grooming and ensure timely completion of services. Ensure water bowl is full and assist with walking dogs for bathroom breaks.
Prepare client cards for next work day by reviewing schedule and client history.
While cashing the client out, go over any behavioral concerns we had while their pet was here. Recommend product from the boutique that would be beneficial for the client to use at home in between services.
Ensure client is accurately charged for services performed and collect payment.
Reschedule client to ensure future service.
Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours and handles dogs of all shapes / sizes.
